What's that saying? Oh yah, there are three kinds of lies: white lies, serious lies and statistics.. You give the crime rate of a town of 10,000 people and give a statistic based on 100,000 people. Sounds impressive, but you are twisting statistics to fit. If I live in a town of 5,000 people and there were five break and enters over the course of a year, the crime rate would be 1,000 break and enters for every 100,000 people. You would conclude that the crime rate in my town is horrendous. That, is not only bad science and sensational reporting, you actually create fear. If i lived in a city of 3 million people and all the crime happened in one square block, the rate per 100,000 would be low. So, your conclusion about danger and safety is irrelevant. Especially if i walked into a dangerous area thinking it was statistically safe. I hope you don't do statistics for a living.

This is systematic white racism. If Whites would just give their homes, cars, possessions, daughters, spare cash, and salaries to oppressed natives and then stop recording racist statistics while defunding racist police, these towns would become crime free overnight.

Well basically Canadian government just waiting when people in those small towns kill each other, dye of hunger , drugs and so on .. instead of doing research or study at government level involving professional workers to find cases… because every action causes reaction .. instead of helping countries overseas in Europe that not related to Canadian people….

These stats aren't accurate at all. When the smaller cities are getting a bad rap for smaller surrounding communities that come in ,do their crime spree and go home. You don't stand a chance when you're surrounded by reserves and you're the fly-in destination for all points north. Youre painted with the same brush by proximity to smaller out lieing communities.

It’s getting bad all over Canada and has been getting much worse due to the high cost of everything! Our government cares not for its people and only cares to strip our earning potential away by raising taxes just to give it away to liberal scams and other countries or give themselves raises. We also need better laws for property rights and self protection such as castle law and a stand your ground law. Then you may start to see crime come down.

Vernon is pretty bad, lots of youths and young people doing some insane shit, even a beloved man got beat to death on snapchat not that long ago, don't know if we ever found the people who did it despite so many victims (snapchat themselves contaced the RCMP). Of course I've been to lots of these places and if you stay safe you can easily, people are still usually pretty nice as well, lots of homelessness and hard drugs though.
